Dear School Head

To mark the United Nations 'Peace One Day' local Humanists are offering a prize of £ X (?) to pupils of the town's Schools for the best photograph essay or poem. that illustrates the inclusive nature of 'A Peaceful and Harmonious World' (Title to be considered).

It may be a about a place - town or country, person or people, objects or a juxtaposition of images (other?). Not an easy subject given our pleasant and privileged place in the world today. Photos may be submitted with or without explanatory text.

The results, the winners and other chosen submissions will be displayed on a special web-site set up for the purpose - with a list of schools who took part. suitable material may also be offered as display material to borough (town. county) schools and/or libraries.

Essays should be about or not more than xxx words long, and Photos. which can be in any form, conventional or digital, but not slides, should be sent, along with contact details to the Competition Co-ordinator' c/o -------Address-------- or e-mailed to ---------@---------
