Introduction:-
    *
The group holds meetings three or four times a year and produces a magazine, The Rationalist, five times a year. The magazine contains articles, reports of our meetings, book reviews, news and letters.
Our aim is to combat religious privilege and all forms of superstition.
Our meetings discuss ethical matters to demonstrate that ethics and co-operative behaviour are social in origin and not based on religion which, if anything, has a negative effect on human behaviour.
Most of our members live in the Stockport and East Cheshire area and we are trying to expand our membership and activities in the High Peak area.
We write to local newspapers, Teletext, Ceefax and to MPs to express a
    non-religious viewpoint.
